The heart of Martinborough is Memorial Square and the streets are laid out around it in the shape of a Union Jack, an act of patriotism by the town’s founder John Martin. Many of the streets are named after places that John Martin visited on a world trip in 1884, hence you can find yourself on Cambridge Road, New York Street and Dublin Street as you explore the town.
